Just an example of what you should state asking for a guitar quotation:

  • Model

  • Top wood

  • Finish (transparent? colored? glossy?)

  • Hardware (chrome? black? gold?)

Another example, for a bass:

  • Model and number of strings

  • Bolt-on? Neck through?

  • Fingerboard wood? Fretless maybe?

  • Finish

  • Active / passive electronics

Once the mail is processed an interesting part of the job will start: a deep collaboration between luthier and musician, until the requested instrument is built.
